Frequently Asked Questions
General
We are only online and cannot offer an in-store experience, but you do have a 14 day return period where you can check whether you love the ring and return it to us on the occasion that it isn't right. We actually get very few returns because our rings look even better in real life!
Your order confirmation email might be enough to gain insurance, otherwise we offer Valuation Certificates in our Extras section.
We don’t offer a warranty but we do have an amazing workshop who can source and set new stones, repair claws and can hopefully fix your ring for you if any breakage were to occur. We do all repairs at cost price to make it as affordable as possible for our customers.
You can pop into a local jeweller and ask them to help you determine your size, or you can buy a resizing tool online where they are widely available and very affordable.
You can but please note that the jeweller that you use would then be responsible for the ring if you noticed any issues after it is resized.
Our rings are tested by a number of trained professionals. However, for your own peace of mind, you're welcome to take your ring to an independent jeweller to verify your purchase during your returns period.
Yes we will do our best, just get in touch with the style you love so we know what to look for. We also offer a ‘bespoke’ service where we might be able to make you something similar to a style you've seen.
Some stones and settings are more robust than others, so it really does depend on the stone and setting of the ring that you choose. With some rings you absolutely can. But with others for instance an antique, claw-set gemstone ring for example, you may need to be quite mindful.
View your ring as you would a vintage car. If you had a vintage Porsche, you wouldn't drive it on the motorway everyday. However, please do enjoy your ring but make sure to have it insured, that way if anything happens, you can get it repaired.
We advise removing your ring when you are doing physical or practical activities like gardening, exercise or lifting weights.
Store your ring in a box or pouch in a cool, dry room. Avoid excess condensation as this can damage delicate gemstones and cause precious metals to discolour, tarnish and erode.
Each ring should be stored separately to avoid scratching.
Never spray perfume, hairspray or any other solvent on your rings. To prevent harsh chemicals from damaging your rings, we advise you to apply cosmetic products prior to putting on your rings.
Harsh chemicals, such as chlorine can damage, discolour or erode precious metals and gemstones, therefore rings should be removed when bathing and swimming.
If you are purchasing a ring with a stone, please take extra care with the setting. Settings can be damaged by any applied pressure, hitting a hard surface inadvertently with any force or catching and snagging on knitted clothing.
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth designed for cleaning gold jewellery.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, fairy liquid on rings or rough paper tissues.
If you are unsure about how to clean your ring, please take your ring a local jeweller for professional advice.
Afraid not. For Shipping outside of the U.K. the customer is responsible for any import taxes or charges.
Each ring comes in a pink, velvet ring box with a ribbon bow.
Yes! Please email us at the same time as ordering and request this. We will put the shipping box inside a discreet grey bag. Your secret is safe with us!
You have 14 days to decide if you love your ring and return if it isn’t the one for you. Please see further details in the 'Refunds & Exchanges' page in our footer menu.
Vintage Rings
A vintage ring has already lived a life and been treasured by someone. If everyone opted for a new piece then beautiful rings would be melted down or forgotten. When choosing a vintage ring, you are continuing that journey and giving it another life and cherishing it again. That sentiment has so much romance and beauty to it and in our opinion, makes a vintage ring more special than buying a new, mass produced piece. There is something so magical in knowing that you are the next chapter for your ring and we love that we can facilitate that journey for our customers.
Antique & vintage rings were almost always hand-made, or at the very least hand-finished, pieced together by highly skilled jewellers who took exceptional time and care into creating their pieces. As a result, the workmanship is often incredibly refined.
Vintage rings are often truly unique. Jewellery was not mass-produced or even widely available like it is today, so it is unlikely that you will find an exact duplicate of a vintage ring.
The uniqueness means that not every ring will be for you, but you will know when you find ‘the one’. It’s like hunting for treasure!
Definitely! The mass production of everything that we consume is out of control. When buying a vintage piece, the ring has already been made, passed down, often a few generations, with no need to use significant resources to mine precious metals and gemstones again.
It is great for the environment to choose a ring that already exists and doesn't involve new resources to make.
They absolutely are! If a vintage ring has already survived for decades and is in a good condition then it shows the quality of the workmanship.
We source our rings from a number of different places that we've found from years of treasure hunting.
We are afraid so. Jewellery is delicate, even the most-well made pieces, so this is always a possibility with any ring that features gemstones.
Think of your rings as you would a car. They require maintenance over the years to keep them at their best, and if they are left without this care they might deteriorate. It is normal to have your rings serviced over the years, such as cleaning, re-setting stones, or re-tipping the claws.
Bespoke & Made-To-Order Rings
Even though our bespoke rings are newly made, we still think that they are a really special choice. Vintage rings are what captivated us to start this brand, but we’ve found that it isn’t always possible for customers to find exactly what they are looking for. We tried to take as much magic from vintage as we could and translate it into our bespoke collection.
We are a small, female-founded business based in London so you won’t be getting mass produced pieces from us. Each stone is hand selected by us, usually with guidance by the customer as they search to create something perfect for themselves or a loved one. Where possible stones are repurposed and taken from vintage pieces.
The rings that we make are a quality product that will stand the test of time and they can become something that’s passed down in generations and begin a legacy.
