Who we are

Female founded

Vintage Pink was founded by Fashion Photographer Ruth Rose.

The idea came to her when she was on set with other women comparing their engagement rings. It occured to her that having a beautiful piece of jewellery shouldn't be be reserved for those in a certain stage of a romantic relationship. It should be something that any women can own and feel proud of.

Ruth had recently discovered vintage rings and the affordability of a quality piece when buying this way rather than 'new'. She loved that the gold was solid and not plated and so would never tarnish and could be kept forever. There was also a romance in the idea that the gold and stones would go back into circulation and have a new story.

Ruth treated herself to a vintage, diamond and opal ring. She fell in love with the ring and the idea that she had bought it for herself. She wanted to share this feeling with other women and started the brand.

Hundreds of women have bought rings and shared their stories with Ruth. Customers have treated themselves to mark their promotions,  birthdays, getting through hard times, a treat for not marrying the wrong man and also for no reason at all other than as an act of self love.

A truly independent, sustainable brand.

Jewellery is often linked to romantic relationships. Rings, in particular, are usually bought as presents and are not something that a woman usually buys for herself. Although Vintage Pink rings can make wonderful engagement rings and gifts for somone else; Ruth hopes that the brand champions the independent woman, buying herself a ring to signify a commitment to herself.

It tells a story

How romantic that your ring already lived a life? It has it's own story and by buying it you are continuing it's legacy and helping it to live on.

It is more sustainable

Pre-loved, vintage rings are the ultimate in sustainable jewellery.

All gold and precious stones are already circulating and buying second hand, rather than new, benefits our world.

The quality is better

If a piece of vintage jewellery is still going strong and in a good condition then it is likely that it is very well made and with the right care should last you a long time.

Some of our rings are over 100 years old and should live on for another 100!

Vintage Pink has been overwhelmed with how many women have connected with the concept and treated themselves to a ring. On the Instagram page for the brand Ruth showcases her customers and a range of strong females who inspire her.
